Whole Wheat Chocolate Chunk Scones

These tender, flavorful whole wheat scones are lightened up with reduced fat milk and enriched by the use of whole wheat. This smaller recipe makes 8 scones, ideal for breakfasts in smaller households.

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
2½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
6 Tbsp butter
1 large egg, lightly beaten
¼ cup + 2 Tbsp 2% milk
1½ tsp vanilla extract
