Mild chilli with wholesome ingredients.

1 lb bag of 13 bean mix or 2 cups
1/2 lb ground beef
1 cup salsa
1/2 can or 2 oz of green chillies
1 tomato, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 carrot, diced
1 tsp cumin
2 tablespoons taco seasoning

Cook beans: rinse beans, cover with 1 inch or more of water in large pot, bring to boil, turn off heat and soak for 2 hours. Turn back on heat and simmer for another hour, or until soft. Or place in a crock pot on low overnight.
Brown hamburger in separate pan. Add browned hamburger and all other ingredients to soft beans in the large pot. Cook another hour, or until carrots are soft. Enjoy!
You can adjust the level of spiciness by increasing the taco seasoning, using hot salsa, or by adding the whole can of green chillies. The current recipe is mild enough for young children.
