Almond Crescent Cookies

These tasty little crescents remind me of my grandmothers house at Christmas, they'll fill your kitchen with a wonderful holiday smell.

1 c. butter
1/3 c. confectioner’s sugar
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. cinnamon
*1/2 c. crushed almonds

1 tbs. confectioner's sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

*for smooth texture omit crushed almonds (the extract is plenty of flavor)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar and confectioner’s sugar in a large bowl. Mix in vanilla and almond extract. Add cinnamon and flour and mix until light and fluffy. Roll into 1-inch balls then shape into crescents. Place on baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes (do not brown) Combine extra confectioner’s sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll warm cookies in cinnamon sugar mixture and let cool.
