Ang's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Yummies

These are delicious perfectly baked gooey goodness, packed full of oatmeal your kids are sure to love! I hope your family loves them as much as mine does.

1c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1c butter
3/4c. packed brown sugar
1/2c. sugar
1 egg
1tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
3c. oats
1/2c. walnuts( if desired)
1/4c. milk chocolate chips
1/4. white chocolate chips
1/4. c coconut( if desired)
Preheat oven to 350'. Mix dry ingredients and incorporate into wet ingredients; Using an icecream scoop, scoop out dough onto waxed paper into preheated oven for 13 minutes.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
