Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

A delicious, easy appetizer that will be the hit of any party!

4 (4 oz. each) cans Whole water chestnuts, drained
1 lb. bacon, raw
3 cups soy sauce
3 cups pineapple juice
3 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. jarred diced garlic
toothpicks (for securing)

Cut bacon strips into 3 equal sections.
Wrap each whole water chestnut in a piece of bacon & secure with a toothpick.
In a large lidded tupperware, mix pineapple juice, soy sauce,
brown sugar, & garlic. Mix well with whisk, making sure sugar dissolves.
Marinate overnight (or a minimum of 5 hrs.) in refrigerator.
Line a rimmed cookie sheet with foil.
Drain off liquid & place wrapped water chestnuts on cookie sheet.
Broil until bacon crisps, turning a few times during cooking.
