Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

96

A delicious, easy appetizer that will be the hit of any party!

10
4 (4 oz. each) cans Whole water chestnuts, drained
1 lb. bacon, raw
3 cups soy sauce
3 cups pineapple juice
3 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. jarred diced garlic
toothpicks (for securing)
Cut bacon strips into 3 equal sections. Wrap each whole water chestnut in a piece of bacon & secure with a toothpick. In a large lidded tupperware, mix pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, & garlic. Mix well with whisk, making sure sugar dissolves. Marinate overnight (or a minimum of 5 hrs.) in refrigerator. Line a rimmed cookie sheet with foil. Drain off liquid & place wrapped water chestnuts on cookie sheet. Broil until bacon crisps, turning a few times during cooking.
