This beautiful homemade Braided 10 Grain Bread would be perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas or any dinner! It's a delicious healthier bread, that's crusty on the outside with a chewy texture inside.

1 tablespoon dry active yeast
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cups water, room temperature
2 tablespoons butter, just melted and not too warm
3 1/2 cups flour, unbleached or all-purpose
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup Bob's Red Mill 10 Grain Hot Cereal
2 teaspoons salt, kosher or regular
2 tablespoons vital wheat gluten
1 tablespoon flaxseeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

For shaping, glazing & sprinkling the top:

3 tablespoons flour
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon flaxseeds
1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds

water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
