Let's face it, we'd all love to be able to jump out of bed in the morning and have the energy to cook a fantastic breakfast! Well one of the best meals of the day just got a lot simpler! Breakfast Couscous is a dish that cooks somewhat like oatmeal, but it breaks up the oatmeal routine. Plus, nothing will get you going earlier than a taste of brown sugar and cranberries!
2
1 1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup uncooked couscous
1/4 cup dried cranberries (such as Craisins)
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup uncooked couscous
1/4 cup dried cranberries (such as Craisins)
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
Bring milk to a boil in a small saucepan; stir in remaining ingredients. Remove from heat. Cover; let stand 10 minutes. Mixture will thicken as it cools.
