Cabbage and green peas stir fry

Cabbage fried with green peas and spices,gets cooked fast- a vegetarian side dish which complements rice or bread

Cabbage-1 small
Chopped pieces of onion
Green peas-1 cup
Tomato(small)-1/2 slice
Green Chilly-1
Salt-1 teaspoon
Turmeric-1/2 teaspoon
Chilly powder-1/2 teaspoon
Cumin Powder-1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
Oil-2 tablespoon
1. Take a small onion and chop it into small pieces.Chop the half tomato as well. 2. Slit the green chilly into 4 long slices. 3. Cut the cabbage into very thin shreds. 4. Take a pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the cumin seeds and slit green chillies to the oil. 5. Once the cumin seeds start sputtering, add the chopped onions and fry the onions till golden brown. 6. Once the onions change color and are brown in color,add the chopped tomatoes. 7. Add spices(salt,turmeric,chilly powder,cumin powder) to to the onion tomato mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. 8. Add the shredded cabbage and the cup of green peas to the onion tomato spice mix and cook for 20 minutes or till the cabbage gets cooked completely. 9.Serve the cooked cabbage with rice or bread.
