CAMPFIRE BURGER DOG

These are the best campfire treat! I like to make them, roll them and freeze them, and then just toss them in the cooler and they thaw slowly while keeping everything cold in the meantime. Usually, I don't advise putting bread crumbs and egg in my burgers, but in this case you need a binder as you'll be skewering and cooking them over an open fire. When everyone else is skewering their dogs, offer them these and all will be pleasantly surprised...and you only need to bring one kind of

2 pound ground beef (or any ground meat you like)
6 cloves garlic (finely minced)
1 tbsp anchovy paste
2 tbsp dried thyme or rosemary (or any dried herb you have)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp BBQ sauce
ΒΌ cup bread crumbs
1 egg (gently whisked)
loads of fresh cracked black pepper
salt and pepper
