Caramel Corn Puffs

1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup Karo syrup
dash of salt
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 15 oz bag of giant corn puffs
Dissolve butter, sugar, karo syrup, salt, and evaporated milk in a pot. Stir over medium heat to soft ball stage, remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour over corn puffs and use a spoon to mix until all pieces are well coated. Let it sit for 15 minutes to harden up.
