Chai Tea Cookies

Today my breakfast was delicious. Spicy, sweet and cooky (yes, we have cokies for breakfast here in Italy). And I am planning a #teaparty because this recipe is oh so perfect for tea time.
36
3 cups 00 flour (all purpose)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 egg
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 egg
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
After having the butter out of the fridge enough time for it to be workable (around 15 minutes)… preheat oven to 350°F.
Some of my spices where not ground so I mixed and ground them. Place sugar, butter and dry spices in a mixer’s bowl and mix well. Add vanilla and egg and stir. Complete with the other ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda and bakind powder). Once again, mix it all up.
You will get a very consistent dough that you can work with your hands. Gently roll the dough between your hands to get tiny balls. Place them on a baking sheet and press them with a spatula (or the back of a spoon).
Bake 10-12 minutes and enjoy the spicy sweet smell!
