A fantastic all-purpose bun! Great with burgers, soups, salads, sandwiches, or on its own!

2 cups warm water (around 110 degrees F)
2 packages (4 ½ tsp) active dry yeast
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup fat (bacon drippings, butter, or vegetable shortening)
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
¼ cup vital wheat gluten
1 ¾ cups all purpose flour
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried dill
1 tsp dried minced onion
1 tsp dried minced garlic
½ cup grated Monterey jack cheese
4 ½ cups whole wheat flour


Garnish
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp water
½ cup shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
