Chicken Crescent Amandine

A delicious chicken mixture topped with flaky crescent dough and almond/cheesy goodness. Warms up nicely for left overs!

3 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
10.75 oz can Cream of Mushroom soup
8 oz can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, diced
2/3 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
8 oz can refrigerator crescent dinner rolls
2/3 cup white cheese blend, shredded
1/2 cup almonds, sliced (I use flavored almonds that are often used in salads - my favorite flavor is ranch)
4 Tbsp butter, melted
