Chickpeas in Tomato Sauce

Chickpeas as all pulses are done in no time and you can make them either in a pot or bake them in the oven. They can be cooked as a white soup with lemon juice or in tomato sauce. In both ways it’s your choice on how you prefer them. As a soup or with a thick sauce. I personally make them in a thick tomato sauce.

500gr chickpeas
3 tablespoons tomato paste
2 onions
1 clove garlic
1 green pepper cut in four chunks
2 bay leafs
2 teaspoons baking soda
Olive oil

The day before add your chickpeas in a bowl with boiled water and baking soda.
The next day strain and rinse them well enough. Add them in the pressure cooker with boiled water and cook for 10 minutes...
