Chipotle and Chicken Chili

Smoky chipotle chilis and earthy unsweetened chocolate gives this chili and whole new taste.

1 onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 1/4 pounds ground turkey breast or ground beef
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons ancho chile powder
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 (15-ounce) cans pinto beans, rinsed and drained
2 (14.5-ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (14-ounce) can chicken broth
2 chipotle chiles, canned in adobo sauce, minced
1 ounce unsweetened chocolate, chopped
sour cream, optional
