Lovely moist pumpkin bars with gooey and buttery chocolate chip pecan pie filling baked right on top. I’ve taken my two favorite flavors this fall and married them in these Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Pumpkin Bars.

Pumpkin Bars
½ cup butter, softened (1 stick)
1 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup pureed pumpkin (not pie filling)
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp all spice
¼ tsp cloves
Pecan Pie Filling
½ cup melted butter
¼ cup unbleached flour
? cup packed brown sugar
½ cup corn syrup
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups pecans (whole or chopped)
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
