Sweet and flavorful cinnamon apple pie fills this pop-tart copycat using a cinnamon apple muffin mix for the dough!

1 package Martha White cinnamon apple muffin mix
2 TBS Crisco
2 TBS Butter
1 tsp water
Your favorite pie filling - I chose Lucky Leaf no sugar added apple
Wilton ready made cookie icing

Preheat oven to 350
Combine muffin mix, butter, crisco and water to create the dough
Very carefully, roll out the dough on parchment paper or a silicone rolling mat 1/4 inch thick
Cut out desired shapes (I used a large heart) then transfer half to a cookie sheet - make sure you have even numbers
Add 2 TBS pie filling to each piece of dough (more or less depending on how large your tarts are)
Cover each tart with remaining rolled out dough
Bake 10-12 min or until golden brown
Let cool at least 30 min and drizzle with icing
