Cranberry Nut Swirl Bread

A yeast based bread with a beautiful cranberry nut swirl.

Bread:
1/3 cup sugar
1 package (1/4 ounce) quick-rise yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 to 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup butter, cubed

Cranberry Filling:
1 1/2 cups chopped fresh or frozen cranberries
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Glaze:
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 tablespoon milk
In a large bowl, mix sugar, yeast, salt and 1 cup of flour. In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat water, milk and butter, until butter is melted. Cool until mixture is lukewarm (about 120 degrees). Add...
