Crockpot Chili with Cocoa

Did you know that the first recipe that I posted was a slowcooker chili recipe? That post was really sad. I had no pictures, and very little introduction to the recipe.. I guess I've learned a lot in the last year..at least, I hope so. I still make that recipe, but I've tweaked it a little. In honor of my bloggiversary, I thought I'd revisit this recipe....since just about every time I make it, it's different. You see, I love to cook, but I don't settle very well on just

1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
2 16-oz. cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 16-oz. cans black beans, rinsed and drained
4 14 1/2 oz. cans diced tomatoes
1 can of mild Rotel
2 medium onions, chopped
1 chopped green bell pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
3 Tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. cumin
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
4 medium carrots, pureed
1-2 hot dried peppers (optional)
Mix well, and separate into 2 1-gallon freezer bags. Freeze until the day before you want to cook the recipe. When ready to serve, thaw overnight in refrigerator. Pour chili into crockpot, and cook on low 8...
