All my life I thought I didn’t like Corned Beef. The reason being the one and only time I had had it, it was from a can. Ew … shudder … ew! Every Saint Patrick’s Day my poor husband has gone without Corned Beef and Cabbage. Until this year. I finally decided I was going to make my own and hopefully overcome my dislike of it. Guess what? 1 3-5 lb corned beef brisket with spice packet
12 baby red potatoes, cut into bite size pieces
2 cloves garlic minced
1 medium onion chopped
1 halved green cabbage, chopped into bite size pieces
2 cups water
1 bottle or can of beer ( I used a porter)
Chop onion, potatoes, and garlic. Place them in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour water over them. Place brisket on top of potatoes. Pour the beer over the brisket, then sprinkle the spice packet covering...
