Sooji ka halwa is a sweet dish that almost every Pakistani knows about. Eaten and liked by almost every family in Pakistan, sooji ka halwa is prepared in many different styles and each one has its own taste. I love sooji ka halwa since I was a kid and learned cooking it by watching my mom as she prepared it almost every other day in winters.

Sooji (semolina) - 1 1/2 cups (I used coarse semolina and then grinded it to make it a bit thinner, you can use fine semolina)
Sugar - 1 cup
Ghee or butter - 1 cup
4-5 Green cardamoms (Sabz ilaichi)
10 almonds (baadaam) crushed
5 walnuts (akhrot) chopped
10-15 Raisins/sultanas (kishmish) whole
Sugar - 1 cup

Step 1
Heat butter/ghee in a pan and add cardamoms when the ghee is hot.
