Farmer's Pork Chops

A one-dish comfort food that hits the spot on a cold winter day. Adapted from Paula Deen's original recipe, I have lightened it up a little.

8 medium potatoes
1/2 medium onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
White sauce (recipe below)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
8 center-cut pork chops (I have used 10)
1/3 cup vegetable oil

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
