Garlic Steamed Clams

253

Garlic Steamed Clams are one of my very favorite ways to eat these sweet little sea treats.

4
2 cups water
1 cup white wine
3 tablespoons salted butter
2 tablespoons roasted garlic grapeseed oil (optional but adds a lot of flavor!)
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon old bay garlic and herb seasoning
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 leaves fresh basil chopped
Bring everything minus the clams to a boil in a medium size pot, then add the clams and cover. Steam clams for 10 minutes. Throw away any unopened clams. Serve hot with some crusty bread to soak up the juices.

Marinated Taro Root

2601

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)
3
  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
