Gluten Free Ham Potato & Corn Chowder

This gluten free version of a classic version is warm, creamy and so easy to make. You won't believe that it's gluten free!

1 cup of cubed gluten free ham
1/2 tbsp oil for frying the ham
4 tbsp salted butter or margarine
1 clove of garlic, minced or pressed
1 medium sized onion - diced
2 large potatoes - you can peel or not - diced or cut into chunks - your preference
1 - 1 1/2 cups of corn (you can use frozen or drain a whole can)
5 tbsp gluten free flour
2 c milk
2 c chicken broth
2 c of water, divided
1 tsp Thyme
2 tsp of Celery Salt
Salt and pepper to taste
