These days that fast food is all around us eating healthy but tastefull is very important. Therefore I am going to show you how to make Greek gemista which is in the catecory of dishes called «ladera» meaning that they are prepared with olive oil. I have started using olive oil almost in every recipe that requires butter. Trust me it' s still delisius and of course the best for your heart.

Let' s get started:
The ingredients you will need:
6-7 tomatoes
1 cups of rice (or 250 gr)
1 chopped onion
7-8 table spoons of olive oil
half tea spoon sugar
half tea spoon pepper
1 tea spoon salt
1 tea spoon dried oregano
1 tea spoon dried basil
1 shopped piece of dill
1 ground artichoke
served with fresh Greek yogurt or feta cheese
Preparation 1.First preheat your over to 350 F (180 Celsius) 2.Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and slice off the top of the tomatoes. 3.With a spoon remove the pulp of the tomatoes and put it in a blender. 4.In a saucepan put the olive oil and the cubed onion in medium heat. 5.Put the tomato pulp and all the other ingredients. Cook about 5 minutes. 6.Put the tomatoes in the baking tray and sprinkle salt inside them. 7.Then add 2- 3 table spoons of the mixture in each one of them (we don’t stuff completely because the rice will double in volume.) 8.Cover the vegetables with their lids and put the rest of the mixture in the baking tray. 9.Add half cup of water and sprinkle some olive oil on top. 10.Bake gemista for about 60-75 minutes. Enjoy! Kali orexi! G.CH-K
