Green Chili, Chicken and Bacon Macaroni and Cheese

A cheesy and delicious mac and cheese with a twist.

8 ounces elbow macaroni
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups milk
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1- 8 ounce can diced green chilies
2 cups shredded chicken, cooked
2 cups crumbled bacon, cooked
1/4 cup salsa verde
1/4 cup chives, chopped
Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. In a medium pot melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and pepper. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes or until mixture is slightly darker in color....
