Heirloom Tomato Bread Salad

Beautiful heirloom tomatoes and crusty bread combine with other vegetables in this delicious salad.

6 cups cubed (1-inch pieces) crusty bread
1/4 cup olive oil
4-5 medium heirloom tomatoes, (about 1 lb.) cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup sliced cucumbers
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup fresh basil, thinly sliced
1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
