Homemade Refried Beans. Versatile and seasoned as you like! Enjoy the flavor of beans fried in bacon fat. Delicious!

4 Cups uncooked dried Pinto beans
I onion chopped fine
2 cloves garlic chopped fine and smashed
Season as desired (I'm using 2 tsp. chili powder and 1 Tablespoon cumin)
Add jalapeños chopped fine as desired
Bacon fat from frying 1 lb. bacon, left in the frying pan
Water as needed

Soak the beans in a large pot of water the night before.
