Honey Flax Bread

Crusty and moist lactose free bread!

• 6 ½ - 7 cups all-purpose flour + some for dusting
• 3 tablespoons active, dry yeast
• ¼ cup honey
• 1 ¼ c warm water (about 100°F)
• 1 c warm original flavor rice milk
• ¼ cup Blue Bonnet margerine, Lite
• 2 tablespoons ground flax meal
• 1 egg
1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, honey, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. 2. Now, add to the bowl the flour, warm milk, butter, flax meal, and egg. Mix until a dough forms. 3. Transfer to flour dusted work space, and knead for 5-10 minutes until a soft ball forms and the dough is no longer sticky. Split dough into 2 equal pieces. 4. Spray 2 bread pans with cooking spray. Transfer the dough to the bread pans, forming loaves that roughly fit the size of the bottom of the pan. 5. Place in over. Preheat oven, with the oven light on, to 425°F. Once preheated, bake for 15 minutes. 6. Now, turn the over down to 350°F. Keep bread in over, cook for additional 15 minutes. If you wish to do an egg wash, please do so when you turn the oven down.
