Honey -glazed Chicken

Savory sweet and sour chicken which enriches your taste-buds! you can have it as an appetizer or a side dish . Best served with a loaf of bread and garlic sauce.

1 kg chicken cut in small pieces
2 cups flour
1 egg beaten
thai lemon grass (optional)

for marinating the chicken :

3/4 tbsp garlic paste
3/4 tbsp ginger paste
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garam masala paste
1/2 tsp peanut paste
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sour yogurt
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp vegetable oil ( preferably mustard oil)
1/2 cup lemon juice

for caramelizing :

1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tbsp water
2 tsp honey
1/5 cup lemon juice
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Mix all the marinating ingredients and wrap the bowl with a plastic wrap and refrigerate the chicken for around 1 hour. Heat a frying pan . dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture and roll in the flour bed and fry till the chicken turns into a medium brown shade. soak the excess oil off. In another frying pan, pour the sugar and stir it and add water and honey. Put the fried chicken pieces and toss it with the lemongrass. Serve hot with garlic sauce.
