Honey Wheat Calzones

If I could eat Honey Wheat Calzones every night for dinner I totally would. My favorite local Italian place makes the best calzones and I wanted to try to replicate their flavors. You can have whatever kind of sauce you want to pour on top or just dip, but when I want to be quick about it I prefer the organic store brand that is full of garlic. Rebecca has another great calzone recipe as well! calzone1 I make the dough in my bread machine. You can even buy ready made pizza dough at the stor

For dough:
1 t honey
1 1/2 c warm water (110 degrees F)
1 T active dry yeast
1 T olive oil
1 t salt
2 c whole wheat flour
1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
For the Filling
1 chopped green bell pepper
1/2 c mushrooms
2 T fresh, chopped basil leaves
6 T ricotta cheese
2 c shredded mozzarella cheese
24 slices of pepperoni
1 c Italian cooked italian sausage
1/2 c olive oil
4 c marinara sauce for dipping
1 t honey
