Indian Special Punjabi Paneer Bhurji by Neharika

Paneer Bhurji is a ver common and easy dish made from mashed paneer (cottage cheese). It can be eaten with chapati, pav or bread. Nothing much to say about this, so lets quickly start with the recipe of PANEER BHURJI.

3 pounds mashed cottage cheese (paneer)
2 tbsp oil
½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 big onion finely chopped
1 medium size tomato finely chopped
¼ tsp. coriander powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp chili powder
salt to taste
Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Add the onions and green chilies and sauté on a high flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes, 2 tbsp of water and mix well Add other ingredients, except paneer and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the paneer and 1 tbsp of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped coriander leaves and serve with chapatti, bread or pav.
