Cookies are all time favorite for kids,this is a holiday season and every one would be preparing lot of cookies at home.I tried making this jam cookies at home and it turned out great.Its very simple to make and requires very less ingredients. Jams are always loved by kids and if you make a cookie with jam definitely they would enjoying eating this.My son enjoys eating this cookie as it's very colorful to him. Enjoy this holiday season preparing this cookies at home.

2 cups all purpose flour
½ cup sugar
11/2 stick unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
½ cup sweetened shredded coconut
3 tsp jam
Pinch of salt
1 egg
*In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar ,beat at low speed for 2 min. *Add vanilla and almond extract and combine well with butter. *Now slowly incorporate the flour and combine well with the hand mixer until the dough starts to come together. *The dough would be crumble,but if u take and press with your finger it should hold at one place. *Take a spoon full of dough and shape them into small ball and dip them in a egg wash and followed by coat them with the shredded coconut and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. *With the help of your thumb make a small hole at the center of cookie dough and fill with1/4 tsp jam. *Repeat the above step and fill all the cookie with jam . *Place these cookies in oven and bake at 180 c for 20 min or until the coconut turns brown in color. *Once done transfer the jam cookie on to the cooling rack and serve.
