Killer Teriyaki Sauce

Way better than bottled, so good my friend just brings a straw and says pass the teriyaki sauce!

1 1/2 cups soy sauce
1/8 cup toasted sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce or pinch red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
1 tablespoon finely minced ginger
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup toasted sesame oil
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 1/2 cup water
place first eight ingredients in sauce pan, cook on medium until sugar is dissolved about 2 min. add brown sugar and cornstarch mixed with water. bring to boil then reduce to simmer until thickened to degree you like. great on chicken and fish. Sauce freezes well, so I usually double or triple batch and freeze in small containers. each batch makes about two cups of sauce.
