Lazy Apple Pie

Lazy apple pie is a three level (crust-filling-crust) dessert. It’s perfect to serve with your favorite tea. For an under-an-hour, few ingredients you already have in the kitchen, kind of dessert, this layered apple pie is quite impressive.

CRUST
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
½ cup oil
1-2 tablespoons butter
2.5 cups white flour
1 tablespoon cocoa
½ cup ground walnuts
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 teaspoon coffee grounds
1 lemon
FILLING
12 apples (medium)
½ tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
TOPPING
3-4 tablespoons powdered sugar

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
