Delicious and moist pumpkin bars with a healthy twist

2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
15 oz. organic pumpkin
1 cup unsweetened applesauce

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
3 ounces light cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
