Mama D's Meatloaf
1113
The only meatloaf recipe (and I've tried them ALL) that I can make and have it stay together when it comes out of the oven and I slice it! Look up "comfort food" in the dictionary and you're gonna see a picture of this recipe! You can also use this recipe for meatballs...yum!
6
2 lb ground chuck or ground round
1 egg
1 1/2 cup crushed crackers (about 1 sleeve, give or take)
dash of milk
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 egg
1 1/2 cup crushed crackers (about 1 sleeve, give or take)
dash of milk
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
Mix ingredients together. Form into a loaf or put into a loaf pan. Top with a mixture of brown sugar, ketchup and honey mustard (or BBQ sauce). Bake at 400 degrees for about 60 to 75 minutes, until a knife stuck in the middle comes out clean.
To make meatballs, fry in a skillet or bake in oven, turning constantly to brown all over, until done.
