Mascarpone Custard Style Ice Cream

This rich, delicious custard-style ice cream is a wonderful summer treat! I like to add more fresh or frozen berries on top when I eat it.

1 1/4 cups whipping cream
1 1/4 cups whole milk
1 pint blueberries
1/2 cup blackberries
4 oz Mascarpone cheese (an Italian cream cheese. DO NOT substitute regular cream cheese.)
3/4 cup sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
In a blender mix all ingredients until smooth and completely combined. Pour into ice cream canister. Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
