Moraccan Chicken

A new combination of flavors to shake up dinner monotony! This chicken is moist and tender, and the flavors blend together to make smooth taste from start to finish. Pour over couscous for a truly authentic Moroccan dinner.

5 chicken thighs
2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic
1 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground coriander
5 sliced pearl onions
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cups chicken stock
1 can cleaned chickpeas
1 handful raisins (to taste)
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker for 4-5 hours on high OR 7-8 hours on low. Serve over couscous. Note: Traditional Moroccan chicken also contains apricot. We left it out and it was delicious but only because we don't care for apricot.
