1 large sweet onion cut into small chunks
1 Tbs. ground ginger
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. saffron threads crumbled
¼ cup butter
2 Tbs. olive oil
¼ chopped cilantro
