I know there is a big debate about what goes in chili – just meat and sauce, just beans and sauce…. Well I make my chili with both ground beef and beans. I don’t know if it’s a Southwestern Pennsylvania thing or just something my family does, but we also eat our chili with elbow macaroni or mashed potatoes! MMMMM GOOD!

Can of Bush’s Chili Beans (16 oz can)
Can of diced tomatoes (14.5 oz can)
Can of beans (16 oz can) (I used light red kidney beans and sometimes I use Cannellini, Great Northern or Navy )
Jar of salsa (I prefer Chi Chi’s but they no longer sell it down here in Texas so I use Joe T Garcia’s Salsa picante)
Elbow macaroni or mashed potatoes
1 pound of Ground Beef
Spices – I use onion salt, chili powder, black pepper, red pepper

Brown your beef. Drain. In a stock pot add chili beans, diced tomoates, beans, and salsa to ground beef.
Let simmer (I let it simmer for at least 30 minutes).
