Cobblers are Southern staples and this is a version I created because of my love of caramel. It's the easiest dessert you'll ever make. Sweet and buttery, this is the perfect dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

1/2 c butter (real butter)
1 1/2 c self-rising flour
1 1/2 c sugar
3/4 c milk
1 tsp vanilla (or almond)
1 1/2 c packed light brown sugar
