Rava laddu

A simple and easy dessert recipe which is prepared for all most all the festivals in India.This is a perfect recipe if you don't want to spend too much time in kitchen.hope you will enjoy this.

1 cup Rava(samolina/shoji)
1/2 cup Coconut
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup Warm milk
2 tsp Ghee/ clarified butter
Pinch of cardamom powder
10 to 15 cashews and raisins
Heat 1 Tsp of ghee in a pan and roast the cashews till they turn light golden brown in color,followed by fry raisins they become plump and transfer them to a bowl. To the same pan add grated coconut and fry for 2 min,they don't have to change color.once done keep them aside. Add the remaining ghee and roast the rava,roast it for 5 to 6 min,till the roasted aroma comes. Now add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to rava and continue roasting for another 2 min. Once done ,take a large mixing bowl and mix the roasted rava ,coconut ,cashews and raisins to gether. Add milk gradually to the above mixture and try shaping them by pressing in your palm to form laddu. Repate the above step and shape as many laddus as possible . Note Do not add the entire quantity of milk at a time,add little by little and try shaping the laddu.If its not moist enough add rest of the milk. The laddu will harden a bit on outside in few min of shaping them,but inside it will be soft and moist. If you wish you can add more sugar as per your taste while shaping the laddu.
