A delicious one pot side or main dish.

1 cup dry lentils
6 1/2 cups water
4-5 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
1-2 bay leaves
1/2 tablespoon cumin
1 pinch of cinnamon
2 cups Basmati rice
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
Cover the lentils with water, add the garlic, bay leaves, cumin and cinnamon to the pot. Bring to a boil and let cook for about 25 minutes or until lentils are tender. Add in the rice, salt and olive oil...
