Beef and cabbage cheese bun

Dough

3/4 cup warm water
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/4 vegetable oil (I used coconut oil)
2 tbls. sugar
1 large egg
3 1/2 cups flour
2 1/4 tsp. yeast
1 tsp. salt

Filling

3 Tbls. butter (I used coconut oil)
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion
1/2 yellow bell pepper
1/2 red bell pepper
2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
1/2 small head cabbage, cored and chopped (About 3 cups)
8 slices deli American Cheese

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
