A flavorful & moist apple cupcake topped with a creamy salted caramel frosting

1 stick of butter, room temperature
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup apple butter
2-3 small apples (or 1-2 larger apples), peeled, cored, and finely chopped
1/4 cup sour cream
For the Salted Caramel Frosting
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup of bottled caramel sauce
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
