I still had some of the zucchini left over from my uncle so I threw this together. It was great on a hot summer day.

16 ounces linguine pasta
1/4 cup olive oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 cup butter
1 medium zucchini seeded and cut in 1/2" pieces
3/4 cup sliced mushrooms
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound medium shrimp peeled, deveined
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon parsley

Similar to an elevated mimosa, the Blood and Sand cocktail combines fresh blood orange juice, sweet Vermouth and cherry liqueur to create a unique and refreshing cocktail.

Cocktail Ingredients:
1/4 oz Blended Scotch
1/4 oz Blood Orange juice ( Freshly squeezed. Regular orange juice is an okay substitute. )
1/4 oz Cocchi Sweet Vermouth
1/4 oz Heering Cherry liqueur
1 Blood orange ( Peel or slice for garnish )
1 Cherry ( Luxardo or aged )
