Simple Parmesan Cheese Scone
26
I like non-sweet cake and biscuit, and scones too. So here is one with cheesy taste.
6
1 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup butter
3 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, whisked with milk.
2 teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup butter
3 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, whisked with milk.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit..
Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl, then add butter and rub in with fingertips.
Mix in cheese.
Add egg and milk and mix to a soft but not sticky dough. Add more flour and cheese if necessary.
Turn dough out to a floured board and knead lightly, then press out to a depth of ½ inch.
Cut out with 2-inch round cookie cutter and place on a floured baking sheet.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
(Optional – about 3 minutes before removing from often, add cheese topping.
