Every year, the Greek Festival comes to Salt Lake City and my husband and I love to go. We have no Greek ancestors or links to Greece of any kind, but Greeks just know how to put on quite the party and we always have such a good time! One of my favorite parts is all the delicious food . . . seriously, they have some of the most amazing grub. I was thinking about a gyro that I had there last year and decided to try and make a chicken gyro of my own. I decided to adapt it for the slow cooker so t

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 onion, diced
1/4 cup water
1 tablespon olive oil
2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon lemon pepper

Similar to an elevated mimosa, the Blood and Sand cocktail combines fresh blood orange juice, sweet Vermouth and cherry liqueur to create a unique and refreshing cocktail.

Cocktail Ingredients:
1/4 oz Blended Scotch
1/4 oz Blood Orange juice ( Freshly squeezed. Regular orange juice is an okay substitute. )
1/4 oz Cocchi Sweet Vermouth
1/4 oz Heering Cherry liqueur
1 Blood orange ( Peel or slice for garnish )
1 Cherry ( Luxardo or aged )
