Smoky Slider Burgers with Fried Pickles

The all American burger grilled and topped with delicious fried pickles! Perfect for back yard barbecues and holidays.

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 teaspoon brown sugar

For Sliders:
2 pounds 80%/20% ground beef
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1/4 cup smoky BBQ sauce
salt and pepper for seasoning
For assembly:
12 slider buns
6 slices of havarti cheese, cut in half
1/4 cup mayonaise
2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce (or your favorite lettuce)
For Fried Pickles:
Peanut or vegetable oil, for frying
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
1/8 teaspoon cracked pepper
2 cups sliced dill pickles, drained
Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add butter and onion to skillet and add sugar. Stir to combine. Stir occasionally until onions start to caramelize, about 5 minutes. Set aside. Start sliders....
